Fairytale ending for henderson and clouden
These team mates are inseparable.
From the moment they arrive at practice, Ivy Clouden and Ivory-Cash Henderson are two peas in a pod. This dynamic duo pushes themselves to be the best they can. They both want to be first to try a new skill, and the other is never far behind. Always celebrating the other’s accomplishments and now they find themselves celebrating together.
Ivy and Ivory, both team mates, competing in level 8, found themselves tied at provincial championships in the top 5 all around! Now both have been selected to represent Team Ontario at Eastern Canadian Championships for their first time! This accomplishment is only done by the most elite athletes in the province and only six athletes are selected in their age group.
The competition is set to take place in Oshawa Ontario from May 8th-12th. “I am super excited to share this experience with Ivy and have a lot of fun together.” says Henderson. When Coach Anic mentioned that the two girls might tie at provincials, both girls stepped up their game to try and secure their spot on Team Ontario. Clouden, entering into her final event on bars, needed a solid routine and she delivered! “It was my first full bar routine connecting all of my skills and I was crying after I finished. All my teammates came to give me a big hug!”
The decision was finalized during the final awards ceremony. Both girls could be seen hand in hand congratulating all their competitors and smiling ear to ear! When asked about their goals for the competition the girls had this to say. “It’s our first time at this level of competition so we are going to have fun and do our best to stay positive…ohh and kick some butt!”
